I have been attending Tai Chi classes for a few years now with a break from winter 2015 until last year due to a medical condition. Due to the procedure and subsequent medication my stamina levels and knee joints suffered immensely.
I rejoined the Swaffham class last year and the classes have helped improve my stamina levels and joint flexibility enormously. My overall balance is also very good. I cannot overstate the growing feeling of well being I have experienced over the past year as a result of Barbara and Alans classes. They have been a huge part of my recuperation path.
Barbara and Alan have always managed to combine total professionalism with friendliness in their instruction. They also attend professional classes to keep upto date with various Tai Chi Forms they teach. I would have no hesitation in recommending their tai Chi Classes to anyone.

I started classes at Academy Tai Chi almost 6 months ago, and i absolutely love it!
Alan and Barbie are friendly, patient and encouraging whatever your ability and i leave each class feeling energised and balanced, both mentally and physically.

Just wanted to give a bit of feedback, you probably have loads but just in case you didn't..
I've found the classes everything you can hope for when taking up something new (and it still feels very new and fresh). Very well-spaced information about a move or where it comes from - the 'doing' has been foremost and the theory available when you want it. Both of you correct in a very positive way and in a way that increases your awareness of the move and what your own body is doing and how small change can make it better. Very Non-judgemental.
The classes have a very friendly but focused atmosphere; it feels like everyone is doing something that they know is really doing them good. That's all for now. PS there's lots more, but I'm hungry!!

I have been going 4 weeks It's everything i hoped it would be! Barbara and Alan are patient, kind and have a beautiful aura!
I need this in my life, I find it calming and 'centering' Thank you for all the help you give me..
When we have the music its 'pure joy' which could reduce me to tears. Thank you..

Just wanted to tell you both how much I really appreciate my Tai chi lessons with you.
I have been coming now for about a 1 year and feel my balance has improved immensely, only last week, for the very first time in the warm up exercises, I felt confident and strong enough to lift one leg at a time and stretch out in front of me whilst punching forward with the opposite arm and fist. I was so pleased and couldn't wait to show my husband when back home.
The whole idea of my joining Tai Chi was to help with my balance after being diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in both hips.
Previously, I've tried various ways to exercise and strengthen my joints and improve my balance using videos and on-line tuition but didn't find it successful. By joining your class and with your expert guidance I now feel I am so much more able to achieve my goals.
A big thank you for your support and patience. I will keep up the practice and look forward to many more enjoyable lessons with you both
